Following the resounding success of the first Ralph Meyer auction in 2020, Daniel Maghen Auctions held a “white-glove” sale in 2025 featuring the Undertaker catalog, shattering its previous world record with the original page no. 1 from the first volume of the series (2015), estimated at €12,000 and sold for €81,763 including tax. The exceptional results of these auctions confirm the contemporary artist’s standing and rank him among the most sought-after on the market, even surpassing certain comic art classics.

To ensure that your pages are kept in good condition, we recommend that you never expose them to direct light, as UV rays can damage the media used to produce them. Although Indian ink is a perennial material, the paper support may change when exposed to UV light. Note that watercolor plates require special attention, as this medium is particularly sensitive to light. Pieces containing pastel or charcoal require special care to avoid rubbing.
We advise you to display them away from windows, and to use frames made of pH-neutral conservation materials and “Museum” glass with anti-UV and anti-reflective treatment. If you prefer to keep your works unframed, we recommend storing them flat, in drawing cartons, with sheets of pH-neutral permanent paper in between. Keep them away from light and humidity

French comic artist Ralph Meyer, born in Paris in 1971, trained at the Institut Saint-Luc in Liège. He first gained recognition in 1997 with the three-volume series Berceuse assassine with Philippe Tome (Dargaud), and went on to collaborate on a number of series, including Ian with Fabien Vehlmann (2003–2007, Dargaud), XIII Mystery (Vol. 1, 2008), and Asgard (2012–2023) in two volumes with Xavier Dorison at Dargaud. He marked a turning point with Page noire (2010, Futuropolis) with Frank Giroud and Denis Lapière. Ralph Meyer achieved great success with Undertaker (since 2014). Since 2014, the duo Ralph Meyer and Xavier Dorison, joined by Caroline Delabie for coloring, have launched the hit series Undertaker (Dargaud). Across eight volumes, Undertaker has established itself as a classic of comic art.
