Ralp Meyer Exhibition

Having made his name with "Berceuse Assassine" (published by Dargaud), Ralph Meyer went on to collaborate with Xavier Dorison on the series "XIII Mystery" and "Asgard" (published by Dargaud). Together, they developed the hit series "Undertaker" (published by Dargaud), which now comprises eight volumes.

Set firmly in the purest Western tradition, with a ruthless Wild West and chases across the American Great Plains, the series has also breathed new life into the genre through its main character and the figure of the undertaker – a role that had previously been little explored. Ralph Meyer’s dynamic artwork and sense of composition, Caroline Delabie’s stunning colouring and Xavier Dorison’s relentless storylines draw the reader into the footsteps of this enigmatic gravedigger with a big heart.

The exhibition will feature original Indian ink plates from the latest volumes in the series, direct-colour illustrations, Indian ink illustrations created especially for the exhibition, as well as a selection of originals from his previous works "Berceuse Assassine" and "Asgard".

Also on display will be four works by Christophe Charbonnel, one of the most renowned contemporary sculptors. Known for his monumental sculptures inspired by figures from Greek mythology, the artist has created two full-length sculptures and two busts of the iconic Jonas Crow especially for the occasion, which will complement the exhibition perfectly.
