Grzegorz Rosinski, born in 1941 in Poland, is a renowned artist, painter, graphic designer, and illustrator. At the age of 16, he published his first drawings and began a constant quest for artistic renewal. A graduate of the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts, he became the art director of Relax, Poland’s first comic book magazine. After moving to Belgium in 1976, he met Jean Van Hamme and, together with him, created the famous Thorgal saga. At the same time, he produced other notable works such as Le Grand Pouvoir du Chninkel, Hans, and Complainte des landes perdues.
Passionate about experimentation, he later switched from pen and ink to oil painting, notably for La Vengeance du comte Skarbek.
In 2010, he began overseeing the spin-off series Les Mondes de Thorgal and stopped drawing the main series in 2018.
A multiple award winner, whose work has been exhibited internationally and celebrated in several retrospectives, he currently lives and works in Switzerland.
