Born in 1938 under the pencil of Rob-Vel in Le Journal de Spirou, the series features the famous duo of reporters Spirou and Fantasio, facing a wide variety of adversaries in a universe infused with fantasy and science fiction. But from 1946 onwards, it was under the guidance of André Franquin that the series truly found its identity and reached the status of a monument of comic art. Nearly 90 years after its creation, Spirou et Fantasio belongs to an entire generation of writers and artists who have each brought their own artistic personality to the series while preserving its unique DNA. Jijé, Fournier, Greg, Tome and Janry, Morvan and Munuera, Yoann and Vehlmann, Guerrive, Abitan, and Schwartz: many creators have honed their skills through the series and contributed to the legacy of this now legendary work.
