Over the past thirty years, Frédéric Pillot has developed a captivating artistic universe composed of sumptuous acrylic paintings enhanced with chalk, overflowing with detail, color, and light. His enchanting imagery appeals to children and adults alike, combining technical virtuosity with a remarkable sense of wonder. Galerie Daniel Maghen has proudly represented and supported his artwork since 2012.

To preserve your works on paper, we recommend that you never expose them to direct light, as UV rays can damage the mediums used. Paintings made with pastel or charcoal require special care to avoid rubbing. Works containing watercolor are particularly sensitive to light, unlike gouache and acrylic.
We advise you to display them away from windows, and to use frames made from pH-neutral conservation materials and “Museum” glass with anti-UV and anti-reflective treatment. If you prefer to keep your works unframed, we recommend storing them flat, in drawing cartons, with sheets of pH-neutral permanent paper in between. Keep them away from light and humidity.

Frédéric Pillot is one of the most acclaimed children's authors and illustrators of his generation. Over more than thirty years of artistic activity, he has sold more than two million books and published numerous works translated internationally. His series Lulu Vroumette, created with Daniel Picouly, was adapted into an animated television series broadcast worldwide. Celebrated for the richness of his detail and the poetry of his visual worlds, his artwork has been the subject of exhibitions throughout France. Since 2020, he has continued to expand his body of work with new children's books and illustrated classics for various publishers, including Éditions Daniel Maghen (Balbuzar, le pirate aux oiseaux and The Birthday Thief!) and Sarbacane Publishing.
