Gotlib, Coyote, Édika, Goossens and Lelong Exhibition

Winner of the Angoulême Grand Prix in 1991, Gotlib is one of the most talented and influential authors of his generation, adored by his peers and the general public alike. Around forty original artworks will be on display, including superb black-and-white pages from Rhâ-Gnagna and Superdupont, as well as illustrations of his famous ladybugs.

For motorcycle enthusiasts, there will be around fifty sublime pages and illustrations by Coyote, “the most biker-like of comic artists,” from his two successful series Litteul Kevin and Mammouth & Piston. This is an opportunity to admire the talent of this artist and his breathtaking inking.

In a more offbeat vein, Édika will be exhibited for the first time at the gallery with seven complete stories from his latest albums and cult covers from Homo-sapiens Connarduss, Aïe Woze Djoking, and Histoires obliques. A master of the absurd, we appreciate his rounded lines, hilarious characters, and numerous stories without punch lines, his trademark.

The exhibition also showcases the artwork of Goossens, winner of the Angoulême Grand Prix in 1997, through some forty original pages from his greatest successes, such as L'Encyclopédie des bébés, Georges et Louis romanciers, and Route vers l'Enfer. It is an opportunity to retrace the career of this genius with his cerebral and absurd humor.

Finally, the exhibition will end on a particularly funny note with two complete stories by Carmen Cru de Lelong, and the comical adventures of this cantankerous grandmother.
