To ensure that your pages are kept in good condition, we recommend that you never expose them to direct light, as UV rays can damage the media used to produce them. Although Indian ink is a perennial material, the paper support may change when exposed to UV light. Note that watercolor plates require special attention, as this medium is particularly sensitive to light. Pieces containing pastel or charcoal require special care to avoid rubbing.
We advise you to display them away from windows, and to use frames made of pH-neutral conservation materials and “Museum” glass with anti-UV and anti-reflective treatment. If you prefer to keep your works unframed, we recommend storing them flat, in drawing cartons, with sheets of pH-neutral permanent paper in between. Keep them away from light and humidity
Born in Errenteria in 1965, Juan Luis Landa made his debut in 1984 in the magazine Ipurbeltz, before dividing his time between animation—working alongside Juanba Berasategi—and comics, with several graphic novels dedicated to Basque history and figures. He entered the European market in the 1990s with El ciclo de Irati and then El fuerte, both of which were translated into several languages. Returning to illustration, he achieved great success with young readers through Nur (2008–2012), which won numerous awards. He returned to comics in 2016 with Arthus Trivium, based on a script by Raule, and then became a complete creator in 2021 with Les Chroniques de Roncevaux, a medieval epic dedicated to the Battle of Roncesvalles.
