Riff Reb's and Patrick Prugne Exhibition

Following on from "Iroquois" and "Frenchman", Patrick Prugne returns to his Native American sagas and the history of American colonialism with *Cheyenne* (published by Daniel Maghen). The story is set in 1864 and recounts the events leading up to the ‘Sand Creek Massacre’. Prugne plunges us into the heart of the Great Plains, into the vast territory of the Indigenous peoples, trampled upon by hordes of settlers who flouted the treaties meant to guarantee the preservation of their lands. The exhibition will feature original plates from the album and illustrations created especially for this eighth exhibition with Patrick Prugne. This is an opportunity to discover or rediscover the exquisite work of this master of watercolour, who captures, through a dazzling palette of colours, the sublime landscapes of the American Great Plains.

Riff Reb’s presents "Kernok le Pirate", a superb adaptation of Eugène Sue’s novel. Battle after battle, we follow the bloody trials and tribulations of the pirate Kernok. Lawless and treacherous, he roams the seas aboard the ‘Hyène’ in search of treasure. With an evocative semi-realistic style verging on caricature, deep black-and-white artwork and vividly portrayed sailors’ expressions, Riff Reb’s immerses us in the world of piracy. The exhibition celebrates this leading author of maritime tales through works from this new album, notably a series of previously unpublished illustrations created especially for the occasion, and original artwork from his previous books "À bord de l’Étoile Matutine", "Hommes à la mer", "L’Île au trésor", "Le Loup des mers" and "Le Vagabond des étoiles".
