The Daniel Maghen Gallery is proud to present an exhibition dedicated to Miguelanxo Prado's artwork.
Une exposition à fleur de peau
A leading figure in the Spanish School, Miguelanxo Prado is a true virtuoso of color. Moving effortlessly from one technique to another, he adapts his style to each story to develop worlds that are as poetic and dreamlike as they are hyper-realistic. His mastery of light and shadow allows him to bring depth to his brightly colored settings and to his characters, with their distinctive expressions. An outstanding draftsman, he is highly regarded for his semi-realistic and figurative signature style.
Eight years after his first exhibition, the Daniel Maghen Gallery presents a hundred artworks spanning nearly forty years of his career. For this occasion, the artist is offering illustrations, pages and covers from his greatest albums, as well as previously unseen artworks created especially for the gallery, the fruit of five years of work. For the very first time, around twenty pages from Ardalén (published by Casterman, 2013) will be offered for sale.
Daniel Maghen, Miguelanxo Prado, Editions Casterman and Editions Rue de Sèvres are delighted to invite you to the opening of the exhibition on Thursday, October 12, from 7 p.m.
