The exhibition showcases his most spectacular paintings as well as his research work and offers a total immersion into the universe of this great illustrator.

Between fantastic landscapes and imaginary creatures, Julien Delval has brought dreamlike worlds to life, creating scenes of breathtaking beauty. His imagination unfolds in large paintings inspired by the classical artwork of the great masters. Floating palaces, stormy seas, fantastical forests, and winged creatures are reminiscent of the artworks of Brueghel, Waterhouse, Turner, Rubens, and Bosch. Their artwork, as well as that of many others, constantly fuels his imagination.

But it is in his own fascinating and mysterious universe, through a fantastical journey where time and space seem suspended, that the artist invites us to contemplate. His creations exalt grandiose natural landscapes with extraordinary dimensions and shapes. While his seascapes are the setting for epic scenes in which man seems dominated by the elements, his artworks also depict superb fantastical settings. Thus, the artist invites us to reflect on our relationship with the world, time, and nature.

This exhibition will also provide an opportunity to admire Julien Delval's remarkable artwork for his latest illustrated version of Othello (published by Caurette) by William Shakespeare, whose tragic dimension he masterfully highlights in his paintings.
