Joël Parnotte and Corentin Rouge Exhibition

Following the success of Le Maître d'armes (The Master of Arms), Joël Parnotte returns to the gallery for a third exhibition with the Aristophania saga, to mark the release of the fourth and final volume in the series. Joël Parnotte's graphic virtuosity is revealed this time in a fantasy genre that he masters perfectly. Against a backdrop of class struggle and industrial revolution, the story plunges us into early 20th-century France, where we learn of the existence of a hidden kingdom and its people who wield the power of the Azure. Joël Parnotte depicts this era with ease, while drawing us into the magnificent settings of the south of France. His generous inking, combined with a highly refined line, unfolds in superb black and white pages teeming with detail. For the exhibition, he presents around a hundred original pages from all the albums in the saga and a series of previously unseen artworks.

Corentin Rouge's high-quality artwork perfectly captures the tension of this action-packed story, which features shootouts, car chases, political negotiations, and scenes set in notorious slums and vast South African plantations. His exhibition features around fifty original pages from the album as well as artworks created especially for the event.
