The Daniel Maghen Gallery is delighted to welcome Olivier Grenson for an exhibition dedicated to his flagship series, Niklos Koda, to mark the release of Le Dernier Masque (The Last Mask), the 15th and final album in this saga.

A mystical thriller

Eighteen years after the release of the diptych À l'arrière des berlines, Olivier Grenson (Carland Cross, La Femme accident) and Jean Dufaux (Djinn, Complainte des Landes perdues, Rapaces) bring their mystical drama to a close. A clever mix of thriller, espionage, and magic, Niklos Koda has captivated a wide audience and made this series a benchmark for comic art in the 2000s, with more than 600,000 copies sold worldwide.

This third exhibition at the Daniel Maghen Gallery brings together more than 70 original pages and illustrations, offering a complete overview of the series from the cover of the first volume to the pages of the last album. Grenson's clear and sophisticated graphics reveal all their complexity and finesse in his wash and Indian ink plates. This is a technique that the artist developed from the 11th album onwards, in pages presented for the first time at an exhibition and sale. For this occasion, Olivier Grenson has created a series of large-format panoramas that demonstrate his perfect mastery of his universe.

Daniel Maghen, Olivier Grenson, Jean Dufaux and Éditions du Lombard are delighted to invite you to the exhibition opening on Thursday, June 1, from 7 p.m.
