From Niklos Koda to more intimate stories
Olivier Grenson is a Belgian comic writer and artist born in 1962 in Charleroi. After studying art at the Institut Saint-Luc in Brussels, he began his professional career in the 1980s working in advertising, illustration, and journalism. He released his first comic strips in various magazines before gaining widespread recognition with the Niklos Koda series, created in 1999 with writer Jean Dufaux and published by Le Lombard. This series, which blends espionage, the occult and thriller elements, comprises fifteen volumes published between 1999 and 2017.
Alongside this series, Olivier Grenson developed several personal projects as a scriptwriter and comic artist. In 2011, he published La Douceur de l’enfer (The Sweetness of Hell, two volumes), followed by La Femme accident (The Accident Woman) in 2014, as part of Dupuis’s Air Libre collection. He has also published several graphic novels with Le Lombard: La Fée Assassine (The Murderous Fairy, 2021) and Le Partage des mondes (A World Shared)in 2024. In 2018, Olivier Grenson joined the creative team behind the XIII Mystery series, illustrating the 13th volume based on a script by Jean Van Hamme.
