Thibault Prugne was born in 1988. After studying design, he began his career in illustration with a travel journal published by Editions Eyrolles and co-authored with Alexandre Marion, À la rencontre des plus beaux villages de France (Meeting the Most Beautiful Villages of France, 2011). He then turned to children’s illustration and created the artwork, story, and music for Bout du fil (The Tip of the Thread), a book-and-CD set narrated by Lorant Deutsch (2012, published by Éditions des Braques). This was followed by the titles Y’a d’la joie (There is Joy, published by Casterman), Le Mystère des 5 soleils d’Egypte (The Mystery of the 5 Suns of Egypt, published by Hachette Jeunesse), and Les Hirondelles (The Swallows, published by Bilboquet). He then released Le Souffleur de rêves (The Dream Blower), Le Dompteur de vent (The Wind Tamer), and Monsieur Django et Lady Swing (Mr. Django and Lady Swing), published in 2015, 2016, and 2017 by Gautier-Languereau, all of which were highly successful. In 2011, he founded Éditions Margot with the goal of publishing other authors and artists and producing beautifully illustrated books, including children’s books and comic books. It has been a successful venture, as the catalog now includes nearly thirty titles and features renowned illustrators such as Benjamin Lacombe, Éric Puybaret, and Patrick Prugne... His latest book, CD Mæstro, was published in October 2018; it was written, illustrated, and edited by Thibault Prugne (Éd. Margot) and narrated by François Morel, and set to music with a gypsy flair composed by Jean-Pierre Jolicard.
