The Art of Eroticism
Paul Salomone was born in 1981 in Morlaix, in the Finistère region. The budding artist was driven as much by authenticity as by his dreams: he drew everywhere, whether in his bedroom or at school. He created numerous characters, architectural plans, animations, and interior designs. In 2001, he moved to Nîmes to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Arts. Although Paul excelled in sports, eventually becoming a top-level athlete, but his creative spirit took precedence over his training. He finally found his calling in comic art: he participated in the first European Comics Fair in Nîmes, where his work caught the eye of Albert Uderzo. Scriptwriter Wilfrid Lupano was also captivated by the young artist’s style. Paul’s pencil thus moved with ease and attention to detail through a spaghetti western: L'homme qui n'aimait pas les armes à feu (The Man Who Didn't Like Guns, 4 volumes published by Delcourt, from 2011 to 2017). He followed this with an erotic solo album: Des Plumes & Elle (Of Feathers and Her), published in 2018 by Delcourt. In 2022, he teamed up with Zidrou for the one-shot Celle qui fit le bonheur des insects (The One Who Made the Insects Happy), a fantasy tale published by Daniel Maghen.
