One of the pillars of Fluide Glacial

Daniel Goossens was born in 1954. Spotted by Gotlib from his very first appearances in Pilote, he joined Fluide Glacial in 1977, where he published around twenty graphic novels, including the Georges & Louis series – a duo of novelists with boundless imaginations – L’Encyclopédie des bébés (The Encyclopedia of Babies), Route vers l’enfer (Road to Hell), La Vie d’Einstein... and, more recently, La Porte de l’Univers (The Door to the Universe), Voyage au bout de la lune (Journey to the end of the moon) and Sacré comique. Acclaimed by critics and his peers alike, he was awarded the Grand Prix at the Angoulême International Comic Art Festival in 1997. Alongside his work in comic art, Daniel Goossens is a computer science specialist and a lecturer and researcher in artificial intelligence. He taught for many years at Paris VIII University. Religion, science, history, cinema and literature feature prominently in Goossens’ artwork; over the course of a forty-year career, he has undeniably become a master of the Ninth Art.
