Le Château des étoiles

A uchronic, alternate-history space opera, Le Château des étoiles pushes the conquest of space forward by a century, all within a magnificent nineteenth-century aesthetic. Instead of rockets, ether-powered airships travel through a universe where nobles, outlaws, and fearless young heroes cross paths and reunite in a frantic race toward the stars. Created entirely in direct watercolor coloring, Alex Alice’s universe unfolds through splendid pages of rare elegance and breathtaking cosmic landscapes enhanced by a luminous color palette. Published since 2014 by Rue de Sèvres, the series, which currently includes seven volumes, a spin-off and a manga, has established itself as a major reference in contemporary comic art.
