KIM Jung Gi, the South Korean comic artist known worldwide for his graphic performances, whose videos have been viewed millions of times, is making his big comeback in Europe with an exhibition and sale, live drawing shows, and book signings at the Daniel Maghen Gallery from September 15 to October 8, 2022, in partnership with Caurette and Superani publishers.
A genius of illustration
Able to memorize everything he sees and reproduce it in the form of drawings, KIM Jung Gi is considered a genius. His phenomenal talent has earned him invitations from all over the world to perform at major trade shows and festivals, where he creates large-scale freehand frescoes during his graphic performances, or “drawing shows.”
The exhibition features more than a hundred artworks, including large-format illustrations created during his performances, erotic drawings, and illustrations inspired by Korean folklore, showcasing the artist's extraordinary imagination through the incredible diversity of his artwork.
Throughout the exhibition, the Daniel Maghen Gallery is organizing drawing shows and book signings, which are free to attend. This is a rare opportunity to see a master of drawing create live, large frescoes from his imagination. An event not to be missed.
