From October 29 to November 22, 2025, the Daniel Maghen Gallery is proud to dedicate an exhibition to a master of the 9th Art, Swiss author and comic artist Bernard Cosendai, known as Cosey, on the occasion of the release of his new album Yiyun (Le Lombard).
A drawing imbued with spirituality
Author of Jonathan, À la Recherche de Peter Pan (In Search of Peter Pan) and Le Voyage en Italie (The Journey to Italy), Cosey draws inspiration from his travels. The uniqueness of his graphic style and his stories, which combine adventure, history and spirituality, has shaken up the world of comics and earned him the Grand Prix d'Angoulême, in 2017.
The exhibition presents an exceptional collection of more than 130 artworks by the artist. Visitors can admire his vibrant drawings, his sunny color palette, his sense of framing, and his love for wide open spaces, in a journey that brings together preparatory sketches, illustrations, covers, and original pages with their gouache coloring.
The exhibition highlights artworks from his latest album, Yiyun. This inspired book reflects his love of the Alps and comics, transporting us to Taiwan on a mysterious journey marked by a tragic episode in Chinese history.
Finally, the gallery unveils rare artworks from his iconic series and albums: Jonathan, À la Recherche de Peter Pan, Le Voyage en Italie and Le Bouddha d'Azur.
