Dany and women
For the very first time, art lovers will be able to discover Dany's paintings through some forty acrylics on canvas and paper, created over the last three years. The exhibition will also showcase the author's iconic series with a selection of original pages and illustrations from Olivier Rameau, d’Histoire sans Héros et de la série Ça vous intéresse ?, a true reference in humorous, naughty comic art.
Women, a recurring theme in Dany's artwork, are at the heart of the exhibition. Depicting them as ravishing and voluptuous creatures, he enjoys staging them throughout the centuries, in settings inspired by the late 19th century or favoring more modern, intimate atmospheres. Dressed in period costumes or striking the most lascivious poses, Dany depicts a free and liberated woman, dominating her environment with confident attitudes and a gaze of rare intensity. The artist thus creates situations that are sometimes humorous or highly sensual.
