Yannick Corboz

Yannick Corboz was born in 1976 in Annecy. After graduating from the Émile Cohl School in 1999, he became an animator and illustrator in the video game industry (Infogrames, Atari and Ubisoft). He met the scriptwriter Nicolas Pothier (Ratafia, Junk), with whom he published several short stories in the magazines Bodoï and Métal Hurlant, followed by his first graphic novel, Woody Allen, published by Nocturne (2004). Together with Wilfrid Lupano, he created Célestin Gobe-la-Lune, published by Delcourt. From 2010 to 2016, he devoted himself to L’Assassin qu’elle mérite for Vents d’Ouest. Then, between 2018 and 2021, he illustrated Brigade Verhoeven for Rue de Sèvres, a crime series adapted from Pierre Lemaître’s best-selling novels, with Pascal Bertho as scriptwriter, before creating Les Rivières du passé, a diptych written by Stephen Desberg. He also works as a freelance illustrator (in marketing, video games, etc.) and exhibits his drawings and paintings in France and abroad. In 2024, he made his grand return to Glénat with the adaptation of Richard Malka’s novel, Le Voleur d’amour.
