Between light and shadow
Nicolas Delort is a Franco-Canadian illustrator born in 1984. Favouring the scratch-off card technique as a means of expression, he creates black-and-white illustrations with striking and evocative compositions inspired by everyday life, painting, music and imagery from popular culture. His clients include major publishing and production companies such as Blizzard, LucasFilm, Games Workshop and Solaris. Nicolas Delort was twice awarded the Gold Medal by the Society of Illustrators in New York in 2013 and 2014, and received the Gold Award from Spectrum – The Best in Contemporary Fantastic Art in 2014 and 2016. Having exhibited on several occasions in France and the United States, the Daniel Maghen Gallery dedicated its first solo exhibition to him in January 2018.
