David Mack

An American comic artist, illustrator and painter, David Mack has established himself as one of the most distinctive figures in contemporary comic art. He first gained recognition in the early 1990s with Kabuki, a series he both writes and illustrates, in which he develops a universe that blends introspection, philosophy, politics, and spirituality. His deeply experimental narrative approach draws on a wide variety of visual techniques: watercolor, acrylic, collage, calligraphy, and even photography combine to create panels of rare visual intensity. 

Beyond Kabuki, David Mack has collaborated with major American publishers. For Marvel, he co-wrote the "Parts of a Hole" story arc for Daredevil with Brian Michael Bendis, which introduced the character Echo, who has since become a major figure in the Marvel Universe. He has also created numerous covers and illustrations for series such as Jessica Jones, Alias, New Avengers, and Captain America.
